Leadership

Barry M. Johnson
Founder, Chairman & CEO
Barry is the CEO of MXM Acqusitions & Investments Group Inc. along with each of tis subsidiaries. Barry places primary emphasis on strategic direction, investments and capital formation. Prior to founding MXM-AIG, Barry was Managing Partner of Williams & Johnson LLP, in Washington, DC where his law practice focused on Corporate, Sports and Entertainment Law. Prior to Williams & Johnson, Barry practiced as a corporate lawyer for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in the Corporate Finance division where he specialized in Mergers and Acquisitions and Venture Capital. Since founding MXM-AIG in 2015, Barry has overseen both the acquisitions, and disposition departments, while building and training personnel and spearheading the strategic direction for the company and its affiliated entities. Barry's focus is on the purchase of distressed, underutilized or underperforming real estate assets in primarily urban markets with institutional, family office and private capital.
Barry was previously the VP of Sales and Dispositions for North Georgia Homes Financial LLC, a major Atlanta based, real estate investment firm. Barry has successfully completed more than $500 million of transactions with institutional partners, including hedge funds, pension funds and Wall Street opportunity funds. Barry has completed dozens of M&A transactions, IPOs and venture capital raises collectively totaling over $3.5 billion in transactions throughout his career.
Barry received a JD from the University of Maryland School of Law; his MBA from the Kogod School of Business at The American University; his MA from The George Washington University; and his MPA from the North Carolina Central University.

SHAUN M. BELLE
EVP & COO Commercial Real Estate & Development
Shaun has over 20 years of experience in the Real Estate Development and Management business as a Principal and CEO of CMC Development NYC. Over the past 10 years, as Founding Principal of CMC Development Group, Shaun has developed more than 400 residential units, including Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Supportive Veterans and Senior Housing, Luxury Rental and condominium development.
Commercial, Community facility and Adaptive Use developments and residential rehab experience includes a 36,000 Square Foot Community Facility developed with New Markets Tax Credits, Church and Office Spaces. He is a leader in the development of state-of-the-art Green and Sustainable Design building techniques.
He is also a Board Member of the Primary Care Development Corporation National Capital Advisory Board, National Development Council (NDC) New Markets Tax Credit Advisory Board and several public and private organizations throughout the Metropolitan area.
Shaun holds a degree in Economics and Business Management from Howard University. He is a graduate of the Columbia University Institute for Non-Profit Management and has served as Alumni Speaker (1997 & 1998, 2007) and Program Advisor. Shaun has also completed the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Executive Education Program.

Lamar Johnson
EVP, Residential Acquisitions
Lamar is responsible for sourcing, structuring and acquiring new and distressed asset acquisitions. Lamar has over 5 years of experience acquiring, rehabbing and developing investment real estate. His daily responsibilities include overseeing new acquisitions and Project Management and Oversight for Fix and Flip development opportunities, structuring partnerships, and negotiating the acquisition of residential assets with brokers, investors and real estate agencies.
Prior to joining MXM-AIG, Lamar was a real estate sales associate and Realtor with a major Atlanta based real estate brokerage firm. In 2018, Lamar successfully and singlehandedly ran the acquisitions department at North Georgia Homes Financial LLC in Atlanta, George where he acquired over $150 million in residential assets in under 3 years.
Lamar graduated with a degree in Business from the University of Alabama.
